Q. Can *****SPAM***** emails be deleted from the server instead of downloaded?

Yes.  Our Spam Assassin analyses the headers of each email, to identify whether or not it may be Spam.  The default setting is that spam emails are sent to you, marked *****SPAM*****.  We suggest that you set the Hits required at 5 initially, and then slowly decrease it with time.  Details on how to do this are on the document below.

If you would rather not receive these emails at all, follow the instructions on the attached document, choosing to delete SPAM rather than marking it.

WARNING:-  There are some occasions when an email is identified as Spam but is from a genuine recipient, particularly if they have used graphics in the body of an email.  If you choose to delete your Spam, you must realise that you may lose some of these emails.

Before doing this, you may prefer for the emails to be delivered, but direct to your own Deleted folder, if you are using Outlook or Outlook Express.  In this event, see this FAQ .
