Q. After upgrading to Outlook 2007, emails are not sending.

 

There is an anomaly that we cannot yet explain after an upgrade to Outlook 2007 where emails sometimes will not send when configured according to our instructions.  The anomaly lies in the setting “My Server Requires Authentication”. 

 

Recent tests suggest that this issue has been resolved by Microsoft now.  If not, then there is a workaround:

 

The workaround involves disabling server authentication this setting in the account setup.  This is shown at Step 5a of the instructions for setting up an account in Outlook.
